Choosing the Best Retainer
We will help you choose the option that fits your lifestyle perfectly. Here is a look at the types of retainers we offer.
Clear Retainers
These are custom-made just for you and look a lot like Invisalign® aligners. They are virtually invisible, so most people won’t even know you’re wearing them.
How They Work
At first, we usually recommend wearing them for 18 to 24 hours a day. Once your teeth settle in, you will likely only need to wear them while you sleep.
Bonded Retainers
Also known as fixed retainers, these use a thin wire bonded behind your front teeth.
How They Work
Because they are bonded to your teeth, they stay in your mouth all the time. This is a great option if you want to set it and forget it!

I had a fantastic experience with this office when my permanent retainer from 15 years broke off. My former orthodontist had retired. This office accommodated me and Brent (assistant who did the work) re-cemented my retainer in a timely fashion before my teeth shifted. He was great! The team (orthodontist and receptionist) was awesome and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Kudos to the receptionist in the Hilliard office who was able to change my appointment to the Plain City office when I broke my foot and was unable to manage stairs. Impressive all the way around!

I recently went into the Westerville office to remove my permanent retainer and have an overnight retainer made (braces were many years ago). I've had some bad experiences with dental work before and am always hesitant, but this office blew my expectations! Every part of the experience (scheduling the appointment, checking in, doing initial paperwork and pictures, and most important, having the retainer removed) was professional, approachable, and honestly enjoyable. Not to mention, I wish I were small enough to play on the tree house!!
